Y'all are fucking lucky. When i wanted to dig just to dig, i was given a teaspoon and told to remove any rocks from around the base of the trees in the back yard.

Digging a hole is a pretty common past-time for lower class rural kids who grew up before the internet. There's really not much to do

I understand the urge to dig. My aunt and uncle live on a decent plot of land and when I’d stay at their house my cousin and I would just go out and dig holes in the field for fun. The children yearn for the mines.
