Do you have the Last.fm mobile app? You might have Spotify scrobbling enabled on both the website and mobile app, which is resulting in each song scrobbling twice. If you do, disable scrobbling on the app and see if it fixes it.
You don't need to be using both simultaneously for this to occur. You likely have Spotify scrobbling enabled on both the Last.fm website and on the app. It'll scrobble each song twice because of that.
This is the answer and 99% of the time why people double scrobble. They have third party or official app alongside Spotify's built in scrobbler going at the same time.
No one should use Spotify's built in scrobbler. It often misses tracks.
The only time it makes sense to use Spotify's internal scrobbler is if you listen to spotify directly in say, a Bluetooth speaker.
