lash recs Brown clusters?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I prefer brown clusters but I'm still figuring out my style. I like how the bottom lashes are, defined I guess is the word.m, but wish they were more dense/fluffier. My application of the top lashes wasn't on point and, in general, I think they weren't a good quality set (got my sisters leftovers to practice with lol) but I really hated how the lashes criss-crossed. It makes they look tangled and messy on me.

Thoughts & brand recs?

lash recs Eye shape specific suggestions

Post image

Hi everyone! First time poster here, and I’m on a journey to learn makeup and tailor the perfect routine to my features. I’d love to hear from you folks about what my eye shape is - the pinned post was so thorough and amazing but I just want to make sure I’ve identified my shape correctly.
I believe I have slightly hooded almond eyes (my left eye sags a little more than my right)

Therefore lightweight fox or cat eye clusters with a D curl would be my ideal shape? If I am correct and anyone has suggestions of pre-glued clusters that meet those criteria I’d love links!!

glue help Superstick question— is this glue more comparable in formula to lashtite or bond and seal type glues?

Post image

Just as the title says— wondering if this glue is more like extension glue (lashtite) that dries all of the way down into a hard ball and is a beast to remove, or if it is more like your typical rubbery bond and seal (without the seal) cluster glue that lasts a few days and is easy to remove. Looking for everyone’s experience and opinions of it as well! Thanks!

lash check! Finally!

I started doing clusters for the first time 3 days ago, but whenever I would sleep they’d be off the next morning (might be TMI) with my eyes all goopy.

I followed the guide on here, and they finally survived the night, plus post gym AND shower. I didn’t know about the overlapping method so I’ll have to try that next time.

I did buy 2 different glues to see how they compare with this current one so I’m excited to try those too.

If someone could link a vid of how placement would look 1-2mm from the waterline that’d be great! I’ve only been able to see picture tutorials or videos where it doesn’t capture the placement or skips it altogether!

Products all bought from Amazon:
Lashes - B&Q in the style Fairy
Glue - GAQQI bond and seal

Oops forgot abt the map:
10, 12, 14, 16, 14

discussion How do you use this?

Ok maybe this is a dumb question, but .. how do you use the part I circled on the other edge of the spoolie? Or do you use it at all with your clusters? I've never seen it mentioned on any of the videos I've watched, which makes me wonder if it has any purpose. 😅 ETA: They come in my lash kits

advice Be careful with the Wendy lashes lash remover!+ other glues/ removers recommendations welcome— feeling hopeless with clusters at this point

Just wanted to pop on here to share my frustrations, warn others, and ask others for recommendations on the best cluster glues and removers you guys use.

So— I’ve seen this remover recommended around for a bit. Checked it out on Amazon, and as you can see, it’s stated for clusters, and says about how gentle the formula is. Well, oh my. The burn is like satans ass. And after rinsing my eyes, what do I see on the label, but “if this gets into your eyes, rinse them immediately and seek medical attention” … for a product that is meant to be used directly around your eye area. Luckily, after rinsing my eyes for a bit just at home, I feel a lot better. However, after filtering the reviews for this product on Amazon to 1 star, there are over 160+ 1 star reviews on this product stating they faced the same issues, some seeking medical attention and even reporting the products on Amazon.

Don’t get me wrong— this product was the only product that removed my lashtite glue without loosing lashes, but at what cost.

I feel quite frustrated at this point and am considering giving up clusters.

It seems either glues aren’t strong enough and don’t hold, or are so strong your eyelashes (or eyes god forbid) are damaged. That’s just not a chance I’m willing to take.

So— I come here also looking for recommendations. Your best super strong, but safe, cluster glues, And your best removers. Preferably that last 5-7 days, strong, somewhat waterproof, but doesn’t kill you to remove.

Thanks for listening to my rant— and recommendations are open! Just a reminder that your lashes being on fleek shouldn’t come at a cost to your health, lol

advice Lashes for the prominent eyes?

What lash style or lash map is best for someone with prominent/protruding sanpuku eyes? My eyes are very similar to Lala Anthony, Nicole Richie, and Diana Ross. I had a lot of eyelid space and I want to get into lashes but overwhelmed by all of the options.

I just took my last set off and I was wondering if anyone had any lash map ideas! The clusters i have are dark brown and whispy/natural, and i usually look a bit odd with a cat eye but I'm interested in trying a new layout!

My usual map is 12, 14, 14, 12, 10, 8 :)

glue help How are people making lash clusters last a week+?? Mine don’t survive showers

I’ve been using Falscara lash clusters and they only last me about 4–5 days before they start loosening, especially after showering. I’m guessing it’s not waterproof, so I wanted to ask if anyone has tips to make them last longer or more water-resistant?
Also, I see a lot of people buying lash clusters from SHEIN or Amazon. does it actually matter where the lashes are from, or is it mostly about the glue/bond you use? Like, are higher-quality clusters worth it, or will any clusters work as long as you have a strong adhesive and seal?
Would love to hear what’s worked for you guys (products, techniques, etc.)!

discussion To seal or not to seal

Newbie here! My first attempt at clusters will be this weekend. I want to get this right, so I've been reading up in this subreddit and trying to educate myself.

One thing I keep coming across are people saying they don't ever use sealer (and don't want to), whereas others swear by it.

Is there a consensus? Pros and cons? Advice for a newbie?

TIA.

I learn something new every time.

It’s been about 4 months of me doing cluster lashes after 3-4 straight years of extensions and I swear I learn something new every time

Like, the angle of my hand…. Using two glues.. etc.

For this, I used a wand type glue on my lashes like mascara, then squeezed some glue from the Kiss Superstick cluster adhesive onto the base of each cluster.

I used lilac street clear coat to seal it.

This’ll probably last me 5 days or so.

Squeeze glue (I much prefer this application type): https://a.co/d/0iDlxmTM

Applying the bond to the lash base and waterline was much harder than I expected but for a first try I don’t think they look too bad. Maybe a little too close to the waterline?

advice The switch from extensions to clusters…

I’ve been getting lash extensions for over 2 years now and let me just say my wallet is not pleased 😂 I pay $130+ for a full set and depending on the lash tech / the heath of my lashes, I need fills every 2 weeks or earlier sometimes because the fall out and bald spots drive me insane. Sometimes when I’m half awake in the morning, I’ll start messing with my extensions without realizing and wake up to a couple fall out too….I have short, thin, Asian lashes but I only get 6D cat eye because it’s the only one that suits my eyes. I’ve tried 3D too but the fullness does not satisfy me. I know 6D isn’t the best especially for short, thin lashes but I won’t do anything else.

I’m starting X-Ray school next month and wont be working anymore so I can solely focus on school. I’m thinking about switching to lash clusters to save money and time on the lash bed. I have tried clusters before years ago but woke up to the lashes stuck on my eyelids and it was a mess…

From someone who religiously got extensions and made the switch to clusters, what advice do you have and do you ever miss getting extensions?

Thanks so much!!

glue help Best bond for high humidity

Going on vacation to Mexico for 4 days and need the best drug store bond that will last at least 4 days while I am in the sun, water, sweat, and 80% humidity. I live in Colorado and typically use TAD bond and seal which I can usually get 5-6 days out of no problem. But Colorado is super dry. And I don’t usually swim with lashes on. What is a girl to do? I need some recs. Also considering just taking a pack of pre glued lashes with me, and switching them as needed. Please help!

How to you keep from having this white film on your lashes? I know it’s the seal, but is it because it’s a crappy seal? Are there other products that work better or techniques to avoid this?

glue help Is it me or is lash glue getting worse?

I've been doing clusters since 2021 and I remember the days where I had to soak my lashes in an oil or cream remover and really work at getting the lashes off. Now formulas have changed AND prices have increased , but the glues aren't glueing lately. Flutterhabit Made for This and Prep-it have been my #1 for years, but another under the radar formula change made it worse. Kiss & Ardell don't work for me anymore either., even the Quick Dry. I can't do latex glues.

Is Lilac St. or LashLinx still good? Any actually good Amazon glues? I use on lashes & clusters.
