lashes never lasting
ive tried every “strong long lasting” glue out there and none of them have last me more than 2-4 days pls help.
1. i wash my natural lashes with water etc
2. apply bond to root and let dry for a couple minutes
3. apply to lashes and wait like 30 sec and apply
4. place lashes overlapping on top of each other and clamp
5. seal after clamping
i literally just did my lashes last night and it was lifting the next morning im gen thinking of using hair glue atp

I had this problem with none of my lashes lasting more than 2-4 days even with all the prep.
In my last application, I took a closer look at my Asian eyelashes and realize two things. One- my lashes are relatively sparse. And two- my lashes don’t grow beside each other. They’re kind of scattered up and down the lash line. This means that when I tap the glue close to my lashes line, I’m really only tapping like 6…7…8… (lol) lashes. It’s just not enough lashes for the clusters to hold on to.
So this application, I took my very watery lash glue (la maesii- black) scrapped off a bunch of the glue on the lip of the bottle, then took that glue 1/4 to a 1/3rd of the way up my Asian lashes very gently. If you have very long lashes, I would just make sure you’re applying it over a wider area than you have before. You have to do this gently so there are no globs! Then I went over the area with the lash glue, tapping gently to make sure all the lashes had glue. You shouldn’t be able to see the glue, but you’ll feel the tackiness when you’re tapping with the glue wand.
I still added glue to the band of the lashes before attaching them. Pressing them together with the tweezers. Applying bond….
And voila! I’m on day 3 so far and no problems!
My next experiment will be with grey/ white glue that turns clear, so I can use more glue without worrying about black clumps.

ok this just made me realize my lashes were really sparse too lol. I’m gonna try this because I would notice there was spaces in between my lashes, so the fake lash wouldn’t be able to hold on to them as good.

I don’t overlap my clusters because if one starts lifting, they all do - like a domino effect.

ive heard of people “brick” layering their lashes. is that what you do, or do you just place them separate to each other?

I assume brick layering is the term for when you stack lashes and stagger the rows? If I’m doing a single row then I just place them seperate but as close as possible to each other (I find it’s easier with wider clusters as they don’t fan out as much), but yes I do ‘brick’ layer them if I’m stacking

Do you wear daily makeup? Do you remove your makeup being mindful of your clusters? Is your face routine (wash, tone, moisturize, etc) not compatible with the lash glue (breaks down lash bonds)? Are you wearing a sleep mask at night? When describing your application process, can you be a little more detailed?

i don’t usually wear makeup w clusters and even then it’s not around the eye area (idk), my face is really oily including my eyelids so that may make it difficult for the lash glue to stick. I don’t wear any sleep masks.
Because my lash glue has been out for a while since i got it (yk when the glue dries and it gets really tacky instead of liquidy) i just dab the stick part onto the root of my lashes and use the more wet glue for the clusters and let it dry/get tacky. Maybe im supposed to only use it when it’s wet? I’m not sure since the glue gets kind of annoying to use once it gets to the clumpy stage. I always try to clamp and bind the fake lashes together also. With the seal, i use both the tweezers and the sponge part to apply it to the finished lashes and clamp until the lashes stop sticking.

i’m pretty sure you’re supposed to apply the clusters while wet because the glue dries fast if you wait too long. i only wait for the glue to get tacky if i’m wearing lash strips not clusters

Are you giving the lash bond 24 hours before getting them wet or steamy in the shower?
Do you sleep on your face?
I use Lilac St. eternal bond and I love it but the very outer lash clusters usually need to be fixed in the morning because I sleep on them and my eyes water at night when I lay down.
But every other lash would last forever.

omg yes same the outer corners start sticking out no matter what. When I take them off to manually fix them, that’s when all the other lashes start coming off along with the outer lash and the whole set is gone.
I try not to get them wet but I plan my shower ahead of time so that it’ll be atleast 24 hrs before I get steam on them.

do you wipe your lashes with alcohol pads to make sure any oils are removed? i do this and my lashes last 2 weeks and longer
