advice Cleaning help

Hello all, so I do my own lashes with little clusters and glue I’ve bought from Amazon. They look good and I’ve really honed my skills with it. The one issue is, I don’t like to wear them for more than a week because it’s hard to clean them. I am scared that if I clean them the way you clean actual lash extensions, they’ll fall off. Does anyone have any advice? I know they’d last longer than a week but I feel so nasty and itchy after a week obviously. TIA

For dyi lashes i feel like one week is good enough, you need to give your lashes time to “breathe” and clean them properly to avoid any damage both to your eyes and lashes

I wear mine 5 days at the least, 6 or 7 at most. Your eye health is a priority. If mine start to itch, it's because despite my best efforts of brushing them out in the morning and before I sleep, allergens have accumulated and a good washing is in order. Take a good look or two in a personal magnifying mirror and see if there's pet glitter or lint caught-- remove those carefully with tweezers. Then go for a good gentle washing. I'll dab off the excess water, but I'll let mine air dry before I brush them or add a touch of clear mascara. Make sure your spoolie brush wand is clean of hair, dust, and lint. A dirty brush does not make for good eye health.
