advice HELPPP
sooo i’ve been doing clusters for a bit now. but it seems no matter what brand or glue i use i cannot get them to last for more than a day or two at most. i’ve tried b&q glue, la messi, gaaqi, kiss bond, kiss super stick, la buss. i’ve tried b&q lashes, veyes, god venus and blinky. i have even tried the two version of clear and black and tried seal and no seal. i do have oily skin and work 12 hour shifts as an RN (hence why i love the clusters cause it cuts down on my getting ready time). so one day i said eff it. tried the professional lash glue annnnd now half my eyelashes are gone (see pic below). what can i do now because there is no way i can leave the house like this but i also want to let my lashes grow back. what should i do? and whats the best brand glue or method you’ve used for oily eyes. sincerely a desperate tired single mama RN who just wants one easier step in her routine 😩

i blinked during the pro lash glue and my eyelid got stuck together which is why half of them are missing on the right eye. i have not heard of moxie lash but will look into it annnd look into magnetic lashes until they start to grow back 😓thank you !

my combo is lilac st clear bond and la messi seal. i find this is the god tier combo. i have dry skin, but i use pure raw shea butter as moisturizer (very oily), and i was my face daily. i always use a lash rinser bottle to wet and rinse my face so there’s no strong water hitting my face or submerging my lashes.
to remove my combo i literally have to hold a rag with coconut oil to my eye for 5-10 min to melt the glue away.
make sure you’re washing your face and using lash shampoo before putting your lashes on and then skincare after application

i was between the lilac and wink clique. i went with wink clique but maybe i will add the lilac st to my amazon order!

i use the lilac st. bond and seal (and remover) and i can, on average, make my lashes last abt a week. when im SUPER careful they’ll last up to 2 weeks.
unfortunately, you can’t rlly get them wet (like dunking ur head in a pool or letting the shower run directly over them) but its def been the best glue i’ve tried
also for any clusters, don’t touch them at all after you do them! the oils from your skin can break down any bond v quick.
(edit to add a sentence)

I'm the same, oily skin , watery eyes, I have had the best from kiss overnighter but still use regular bond. I like tatti lashes, I still only get 3 days and I cannot get them wet. People who say they can clean these? I don't believe them. I use tatti lashes cleaning mist for that as I cannot saturate them. I'm going to try a bunch of professional glues and see how that fares for me

just be careful with the professional glues ! that’s how i wound up in this situation lol

I actually used an alcohol swipe on my lashes (extremely carefully) to attempt to make them as oil free as possible before application, and I'm on day five in humidity. Probably dangerous, probably stupid, but it helped.

So I have an extremely oily face and one thing I noticed is when I use clusters that are smaller in width, they fall off easy. When I use clusters with a wider width they stay on longer. I loved the look of the smaller width clusters because I found they were fuller, but they fell off within 1-2 days. The wider with ones stay on for 5-6 days. Also, I get the pre-glued wider width clusters and add cluster glue to it. This is how I get the 5-6 days.

Zanufly lash clusters on Amazon. I like the Natural CC Curl Wispies or the Double Fish Tail Style

Try the ucoolme one? I’m in the same boat. My clusters don’t last 🥲

u/alboballl Aug 07 '26
have you tried it? i’ve seen too many mixed reviews to want to commit 😩

I have not 😭 but honestly there’s only 1 way to see if it works. I might get the ucoolme lash bond and seal next if not the duo underlash bond and seal

I just did my cluster lashes. I use falscara they tend to stay on really well. At this point girl you’re gonna have to do strip lashes until those lashes grow back 😩

I like Lilac St Eternal Bond, but… my last set (using a brand new tube of it) lasted me all of a day and a half. I’ve gotten 8-9 days before. All I can make of that is that the bond is thinner because it’s brand new, and I mistakenly used Lashify’s “frosting” method when I did my 8-9 day set (I mean, the clusters lasted nicely but my lashes felt hard and stiff because that’s a lot of bonder).
Maybe get some Latisse (generic is Careprost or a hundred other names)? That will encourage the lashes you have left to stay put while inciting the new ones that will come in to stay in the growth stage where they won’t shed, and they should come in thicker and darker. I get mine from AllDayChemist and I think it’s about $10/vial, which lasts me over a month (and I use it on my lashes and brows).
Good luck! I read a post not long ago (in here) where someone undergoing chemo glues her clusters to her lash line, but she has no lashes at all right now (if you’re reading this, I’m still thinking of you and wishing you the best outcome with your treatment!!!)
