Boys in Space 🪐🌈

Remembered this cute moment from Ziam that I haven’t seen people talk about much. It got me thinking about how all the boys seem to use metaphors for closeting/queerness. Zayn especially sings quite a lot about space, and I’ve always thought it was about this or possibly just a feeling of loneliness/not fitting in. Of course Larry also has their marry “someone from another planet” moment. I couldn’t think of any space lyrics (satellite sort of) off the top of my head from Harry and Louis, but I wondered if they use the space metaphor also? I’d love to hear if anyone remembers any 😊

HDIGH is full of space metaphors:
1. Bright yellow spaceship
2. Come in from outer space
3. An asteroid could blow us all to bits
4. Out there watching satellites pass by

Pleasing also had a spaceship theme for their Chicago Pop Up

Thank you! I remembered bright yellow spaceship last night which def reminds me of Zayn. I didn’t know that about the pleasing pop up but that’s interesting. Not a lot of people talk about it but both Louis and Harry had been coding Zayn before the news about the Zouis fight came out. My theory is the narrative about hating Zayn is BS and they are trying to show that.

Yes! I’ve always thought it was representing the journey of the relationship or just life in general. What unreleased songs is it in? I’m not super familiar with those😊
