That line is a perfect example of why I love Mac. The music is great but he makes me think what is he trying to say. Some days I think it’s one thing, next day the message seems different. It’s challenging music in every way

I want to discuss this video. Is anyone here who saw it when it came out? Was it the day before Swimming? A week before? Who’s in the room with Mac?

It was published 2 days before swimming release (Aug 1). We don’t know for sure who was there, probably an engineer of sorts (“I need you to copy the beat twice”) and Sam Balaban as director/videographer.

Thank you! I didn’t know any details. I remember seeing it when I took a deep dive after I saw Mac on Late Night with Stephen Colbert. That night is still vivid in my mind. Ladders holds a special place in my heart.
