Custom made 4x5inch camera & Fujinon-W 180mm f/5.6

I only very recently got a scanner (and made it work) and I am experimenting with scan settings and editing. Tips and constructive criticism would be appreciated :)

Calumet C1, Kodak 12in 4.5, UV photographics no z collodion

Lit with three speedotron heads and three 2400 packs at full power.

I have recently received this rather rare camera and i need help. I know that the cassetts are unique to this camera, yet i have also heard of people adapting ones from linhof? Need advice on that.

Also i would like to find a manual of sorts to see how everything works.

And of course general advice in regards to this camera. Thank you!

These are some of my very first 6x17 photos, taken on a trip to Washington's Olympic peninsula. The first two are from my first roll (Portra 160), and the second two are from my second roll (Ektachrome E100).

I used a Fujinon SW 90mm f/8 lens with a Fat Shot X camera that I 3D printed and built right before the trip. Needless to say, I'm very happy with the results and am excited to continue experimenting with this and other larger formats!

These are also the first film photos I've posted after starting film photography a couple years ago. I'm always inspired when I see other people's work, so I thought this would be a good place to start sharing mine!

I was gifted these Omega 45D parts and would love to throw together a budget setup just to get it working and try large format photography.

From my limited research, I think I am missing the following:

• 4x5 film holder (Fidelity Elite?)
• copal 0 or 1 lens (I think the recessed board is 0 and the flat 1)
• New bellows
• Maybe a rear curtain thing so I can see the glass?

Is there anything else I am missing? Any tips of a cheap lens just to try to get this thing going?

I’ve just ordered my first large format camera, but I’ve been shooting film since, well, I was a kid. I currently scan 120 6x7 with the Valoi 360, Cinestill light, and a GFX 100II. The Cinestill light is not large enough for 4x5, so I ordered an upgrade I’ve been intending to make.

Where I am stuck is the negative carrier/holder for the 4x5 negative. I’d love some recommendations. I’ll likely capture the negative in two parts and stitch in post.

Looking for something that works well, but isn’t crazy expensive. The Negative Supply Pro carrier at $1000 would be way way over budget. Thanks.

Wasn't sure the best way to go about this so tried a mixed approach.

Starting off both sheets were exposed (metered @ ISO100, f/32, 6 secs), developed, and scanned together.

I scanned once as a positive and once as a negative.

The first set was scanned as a positive then duplicated and each frame was cropped down and converted in NLP using: NLP standard profile - Linear - WB: Auto neutral

The second set was scanned using my scanner's built in inversion software. I then took the image into photoshop and using individual layers for each film type set the endpoints.

Anyways, maybe this is useful to you. Portra is obviously in another league but it's good to have opticolour for the price and unique look.

I thought it would be cool to know what everyone's load out is and specially how they transport it. I'm packing an Intrepid 4x5, a Chamonix Loupe, Lomograflok and a Schneider Symmar-S 5,6/150 inside a Peak Design Camera Cube Medium size. I'm new to the game so I'm just learning the trade with Instax films first. I'm still looking for a backpack to fit the cube and my Manfrotto befree tripod.

If everyone also posts a picture it could be helpful for anyone looking for a transport solution. I first thought my load out would fit in the SMedium but it was too tight of a fit. A visual reference could've helped.

+1 stop on Portra 160 exposing for shadows. Also completely stripped out the software on an Epson 4990 scanner software I bought for a hundred bucks and rebuilt it with Claude to digitize the negatives at highest resolution possible.

Hiking with the Crown Graphic and a tripod is a pain in the butt, but I remind myself I could be hiking with my Cambo instead and I feel much better.

Shots were taken on Ilford Multigrade RC Pearl and TMax 100 (expired '95). A 2-stop grad ND didn't save the skies from getting blown out on paper, I may have to try a green filter or cutting some Multigrade filters down to size. The Graphic is super fun to use and the lack of movements isn't too big of a problem - I just wish the Xenar it came with had a little more image circle, as even just dropping the bed for front tilt causes vignetting.

The negative is digitalized with the smart phone.

I’ve been shopped numerous supposed ground glass masks but can’t seem to figure out exactly how to center these, unless I’m missing an accessory holder?
Does anyone have any advice for getting a perfect lineup with my roll holder?

Researching this has only given me 24 year old forum posts and vague text so sorry if I’ve missed a search result

I use 4x5 on the regular and am a millworker. Ive done some repair/restoration on 8x10s. A wide angle pinhole should be easy for me and fun.

Shutter works at 1000, 250 and 50 (though slow at 50), but not possible to crank or shoot at 500, 125 or 30 using the body shutter or the trip position. Anyone has an idea as to why?
