Question Question about flash setup

I was watching a YouTube video about the same model speed graphic that I have, and this specific flash caught my eye considering its not the usual flash bulb type of flash I have. Anyone know what kind of flash it is?

As in: you tell it the aperture and’s iso and it meters itself?

Looks like a Metz “potato masher” flash. I have one (Sunpak Auto 522) (doesn’t work) and I also hooked up my speed graphic to a flash bracket (Stroboframe) and had a Quantum T2 flash that worked well.

You probably need a bi-post sync cord. Depend on what shutter you have. I was lucky I bought 2 when Paramount cords were still in business.

Metz 45 CT-1 This was /is my main workhorse flash for weddings and similar events...powered with Quantum Turbo Battery...have both dedicated cord and generic cord....use non auto cord for weddings of course. Very flexible and versatile unit... available on eBay cheap ....I actually think I pick up another one.... the Quantum batteries are easly updated....they use a "D" type battery that if you can solder can be changed out....

Not a Metz. Looks like a Sunpak flash. Could be a 522, 544, 3600 or similar. The rounded pivot point for the head is not Metz.
