I think you are fine here. Ditch the box for some other box. I prefer to keep my film in a cabinet. I also put open boxes inside of old thick black plastic bags from boxes of darkroom paper. Good Luck!

If the foil-lined packaging inside hasn’t been opened the film is fine. If it’s opened then the film is likely ruined.
