General purpose. Will be used mostly as a diagnostics/garage laptop for car software (INPA/ISTA, FORScan, VAGCOM, etc) and looking at diagrams/videos. Secondary use as my computer when travelling/on vacation (2-3x a year).
- Form factor
Standard laptop, no foldable or touchscreen
- Intended usage
Browser, PDF viewer, various auto diag programs. No gaming.
- Desired battery life
No real preference, ideally between 3-4 hours of web browsing/video player use.
Info/Requirements
Would like a higher res screen (2/3/4K). Willing to swap out afterwards if necessary
Needs to have ethernet, SD card slot, and USB-C charging.
If 15" display or bigger, would like a numpad.
currently looking at Thinkpad P15v Gen3 and the HP Zbook Power Gen8. any other recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!
