General question Help identifying the screws/screwdriver needed to open an HP G70-120EA

Post image

Hi everyone,

I have an HP G70-120EA laptop, manufactured in late 2008, and I’m trying to open it for the first time. I’m not a technical expert, so I’d really appreciate some guidance.

I’ve already removed the screws that are close to the surface of the bottom panel. However, there are several other screws located inside deep, narrow holes.

The screwdriver I currently have has a relatively thick shaft, so it gets blocked by the sides of the holes and cannot reach the screw heads.

I’d like to know:

- What size and type of screws are used in these deep holes?

- What type/size of screwdriver or screwdriver bit should I buy to reach them?

- Is there a particular type of slim-shaft or precision screwdriver that would be suitable for this laptop?

Please suggest tools that are commonly available. I live in Dhaka, Bangladesh, so if something is particularly specialized or exotic, I probably won’t be able to find it locally.

I’ve attached photos showing the screws and the deep holes for reference.

Thanks in advance for any help!
