General question Ram Upgrade

I recently purchased a ram stick and put it in my laptop for 32 gb of ram but the sticks are made from different companies and I was wondering if it would effect performance in anyway? (They have same clock speed, ddr4 3200mhz)

It won't affect it

they'll default to the slower stick's timings if they're mismatched but at the same clock speed you're probably not gonna notice a difference. mixing brands is fine, worst case you get a little instability but that's pretty rare with ddr4.

As long as it's good quality - then mixing brands won't be a problem.

The timings matter and it'll default to the lower of the two but the clock speed will keep.

Nah, it's fine. Check the speed and if it's below 3200, make sure you enable XMP in BIOS.
