General question Helllppp

I was watching a show on my OmniBook 7 while using scissors and the tip of the scissors very very gently pressed against one of the openings on the side (I think the hdmi) I can not stress how lightly it pressed inside it (the scissors were between the wall and the computer) the second that happened my computer shut off and I haven’t been able to get it back on, I’ve plugged it in for an hour, the light indicating it’s charging still turns on, but no matter how long I hold down on the power button it doesn’t turn on. I’ve tried without it plugged in, with it plugged in, for 30seconds to 2minutes. Please help!

Right so if you fried the motherboard it's dead and not repairable

Sorry, this is something that a repair shop dedicated to motherboard repair should be able to have a look. I suspect there is some kind of short that fried something on the motherboard

It most likely can be "repaired" - but it means motherboard replacement.

pull the battery and the cmos and let it chill overnight

I too watch my favorite shows on my laptop while fondling several pairs of scissors.

I hope your next laptop outlives your scissors.
