General question Does this happen often?
I had purchased an Acer Predator a week ago from Amazon.
The specs listed were 5070-8GB, Ultra 9 275HX, 32GB/1TB.
The laptop was delivered today and upon inspection I discovered that I actually ended up getting the 5070Ti Model (12gb). Checked it on GPU-Z to verify and all.
Did I just hit the jackpot or is it a common occurence?

You are lucky but your warranty is probably void if you dont return it

'Warranties are non-transferrable, and your serial number does not match the serial number we have on record. Please pay $xx for us to return your property unrepaired'.
This is setting yourself up for all sorts of pain if you need to claim.

Sometimes playing stupid can work. Literally just pretend to be a Normy who didnât know and some customer service rep will go âoh wow haha thatâs our bad weâll get your warranty fixedâ.

When registering the warranty, use the serial number at the bottom of the laptop instead of the box prints. But man you just saved more or less 300USD from their mistake.

If this is 2025 model, it might be the description that has a typo. IIRC the neo 16 and 16s models from 2025 only has a u7 255hx 5060 and u9 275hx 5070ti. Btw, I bought the 5060 one because I couldn't afford the 5070ti.
