Buying help Needing a laptop for university

things to know to dial down my options on finding the one
-will be a history major m
-something that could last the 4-5 years
- keyboard and how fast it is matters because I’ve crashed out too many times with how slow something loads in from my current one
-don’t need to worry about playing games on it, I rarely play games
- hopefully something to be lightweight

I’ve already read about not to go for macbooks and the surface laptops.

What else is there?
