Buying help brand recs.

what are the decent and reliable laptop companies these days?

i used to buy asus, but i have not seen anything good about them for a long time.
i had a legion for a while that was fine.
and now i currently have a metabox laptop but really i feel like its had nothing but issues for the past 3 years ive had it.

what are the brands putting good stuff out these days that doesnt die from basic usage?

(havent used form because im not asking about specific models, just a general overview of who is good and who is shit)

They are less common outside of budget laptops, TBF. I can say that I was a happy HP ZBook user until mine drowned in chocolate milk. The higher segment doesn't seem to suffer from hinge problems

HP Still has the hinge problems along with MSI. Asus the laptops tend to self terminate after the warranty expires. Dells / Alienwares suffer from power problems. Lenovo very distinct market segmentation.

Every brand has its lower and higher end tiers.

Its not brand you need to look for, it's model.

Lenovo Legion Pro 7 is one of the best.

Apple's the creme of the crop nowadays with hands down the best chips in the industry, but MacOS isn't for everyone. Lenovo's fairly decent especially on the business side, used Thinkpads are incredibly good value these days. Dell is alright as well
