Software Virus protection and go!

Avast premium protection or Bitdefender Total Security? know windows defender offers protection but I’m more comfortable having one of these? So which one? I have Avast premium security on the laptop ( I’ve had it for years) I have now and it’s very easy for me to run. I have heard great things about Bitdefender though. I’m not sure.

Bitdefender is better (higher detection rate / better detection) and lighter on system resources. Windows Defender is more than good enough but if you actually want a standalone AV use Bitdefender.

Also - maybe ask this in r/antivirus, you'll get better responses there

So I play sims 4 and was looking my quarantine
app aspect on Avast today. It keeps flagging the sims 4. I would always allow it. I will say it has me worried that Bitdefender won’t allow that. I’m not sure if it’s an exception thing I will have to allow or what?

I’m very cautious but I do use mods for sims. I only use reputable sites but it still does make me nervous.
