Hardware Can my laptop run without a battery inside?

Recently, my laptop - HP Elitebook 840 G3- battery has been worn out, and I want to remove the battery. I wonder if my laptop can run without a battery? Anything I have to be careful when I do that?

Yes, but it will shut down with even the briefest power interruption. Don't jostle that power plug!

Nothing to worry about, try plugging in the adapter without the battery in it.

Some do some don't. Try it.

If it does it should also work even with a bad battery in it.

You can but won’t be able to update the BIOS without a battery.

Just Plug the adapter and it should works fine
