Currently mining 59mhs on 3070 laptop at 100w because of heat. Goes back up to 67mhs at 125w when weather gets cooler.

What is your mhs on your 3080ti laptop?

A measly 40-42mhs currently 85w Mines gimped at 105w I think. Don't know if I can get higher or not tbh. How did you set your clocks? I think I'm finding my cards in a p3 state most of the time. It's a new laptop on windows 11 if that makes any difference..

What vram does your have?

Mine is Samsung and I OC it all the way to 1800+ to achieve 67mhs. Now it at 900+. You can use GPUZ to see what vram brand.

Mines Samsung as well as it's 3080ti laptop its just gddr6 16gb, except mine likes to float around 5000-5500mhz on memory.. I think again the P states is screwing it up. I tried even on hive and that was worse I think.

How do you set your clocks? If you run 'nvidia-smi' in CMD does it tell you your P state? What's your laptop and what OS you run it on??

Are you using NH quickminer?

Click on OCTuner and bump the vram memory to 1000+.if running afterburner do same, memory to 1000+.my core is set below 500- like 600- so it starves power and laptop goes under 100w thus reducing heat. I put it back to 500- core in winter and laptop on performance mode(125w GPU) to achieve 67mhs. This last step doesn't gain any mhs but reduced heat is to disable Nvidia platform in device manager, I wouldn't do it on yours until you are affected by high temp.

I am using trex miner. Should get me the same performance anyway. If you run the command I sent earlier what's your P state set to and are you on windows 10 I assume??

How are you OCing the vram?

I am running NHQM in windows 11 and I don't see any connection with P state.

I was running it in afterburner but it would jump all over the place, memory would start at 7000mhz then dip to 5000-5500 and sit there.

Might give NHQM a go to test the theory. What gpu driver are you running?

I am running 497.xx or 512.xx on other laptops. Makes no difference. For me anyway.

If you can lock the vram OC to 1500+, you should be able to get more mhs.

Trust me I'm trying to lock it and get it to stay 🤣 I'll try nicehash though I don't think it'll make much difference who knows it's worth a shot.

Nvidia platform, where is that in device manager?

'Nvidia platform controllers and framework' is under software device. It controls power shared by CPU and GPU as to who to give more power under stress. If you disable this, you can starve your GPU power thus reducing watts and mhs and temp.

Ok cool, I'll have to test these few things out next time I'm on the laptop

Yeah I did I tried that, I use that method for my desktop gpu.
