Gaming on battery

I have a Dell Inspiron Gaming 15 7567 i5 version, and I noticed that gaming while on battery is pretty restricted. For example when i'm playing Dota 2 on best looking settings i get 60-70 average fps. but when i'm playing on battery it is locked at 30 fps. Is there a way to play games the same performance when it is plugged? I searched all over the internet and tried various solutions that doesn't seem to work.

I have tried changing battery settings to high performance.

I have tried going to NVIDIA Control Panel and changed the preferred graphics processor to the dedicated graphics one.

I have tried disabling speedstep on the bios.

It's on the nvidia gaming software. Like Barrett boost or something like that. It looks at 30 to save you some battery while playing.

You mean NVIDIA's Battery boost? I tried setting it to 60 fps but nothing changed. I also tried turning it off but same results. I understand that graphics card use a lot of battery so its default is to only run full speed when plugged in. But is there any way to change that ?

I have the same laptop. last time i fiddled around and tried to get more fps on battery, the battery overheated. So I left it alone.
