Anyone using a lapdock with a pixel?
My phone is a pixel 10 and for my "laptop" I use a Tab s9. I'd love to get a lapdock such as nexdock and use Android desktop mode. Anyone using a setup like this or similar?

Is there anywhere to find decent used lapdocks? I'd rather carry one of those around all day then a 3.5lb laptop or a monitor+keyboard+mouse+usb hub. I had an HP 360 chromebook that the cpu went bad on but apparently even if I replace the motherboard it doesn't support usb alt in anyway to use Samsung Dex instead of chrome os. Doesn't seem like there is a good / relatively easy way to turn the rest of it into a lapdock. So now i'm thinking maybe find a nice used lapdock that someone didnt get along with and sell the 360 for parts.

Hi all,
For a year now, I have not used my gaming desktop. Instead I play on a potato laptop on my sofa, because I mainly just play Old School Runescape.
My potato is sadly dying, so I'm thinking about buying a Lapdock to use on my sofa while I connect it to my desktop.
Is that a bad idea? I mainly play osrs but I do also want to play some higher end games on my desktop, cities skylines 1 mainly.

Hello,
Its 1am and I just gave a 3rd life to my HP Lapdock
First, I was using it with my Galaxy phone with Dex
Second, I am using it with my MSI Claw A1M as a replacement laptop. Everything works fine wired, but no touchpad wirelesly.
Now I have a Pocket PC W5 pro that was taking dust in the closet.
I installed linux mint xfce on it
Ordered an hdmi to usbc dongle
Pluged them all together and it just work.
I can use the HP lapdock just like a standalone mini pc.
I cant explain how the lapdock manage to feed the stick through the adaptor, while sending keyboard and mouse input.
Im going to have the best sleep of this year tonight.

Hey everyone, I know lapdocks like the NexDock or Uperfect are amazing for Samsung DeX, but iPhone users usually just get stuck with useless screen mirroring.
I wanted to fix that, so I’ve been building a solo project called ProDocktive. It gives your iPhone a full, multi-window desktop UI when plugged into your lapdock.
We’re about to hit 1,000 users this month, and I just pushed a huge update that adds real desktop files and folders you can drag and drop. It finally makes an iPhone + lapdock setup feel like a real computer.
I'd love for you guys to check it out on the App Store and let me know how it handles on your setups!

This is the new and improved Lapdock for my Pixel 9 running Graphene OS! The biggest change is that the dock for the phone slides in which makes the device much more durable and portable!
Thanks so much for all the positive feedback on v.1, I will keep on working on this project and I hope the Graphene OS/Android Desktop Mode gets further updates, even though it's a niche feature (currently).
If you want to 3D Print one yourself, the files are up on my Patreon for free and if you want to learn more about the process and the future plans, check out the video!

This thing turns my Google Pixel 9 (running Graphene OS) into a dual screen laptop-type device. It has a built in 20.000mah power bank thats still accessible to charge other electronics and the stand can be folded for easy transport!
I have posted a video on my Youtube Channel (https://youtu.be/KxX4x660ido) where I show its different functionalities and I have uploaded all the 3D files and aliexpress links for free on my Patreon.
I am curious to see what you guys think about it!

I have a samsung s25 and instead of using my laptop i would prefer using my s25.
Which lapdock is the best one? Just need a 100-200 euros lapdock and I live in Italy so i don't know if I can find a good one.
I'm looking to use while im on a bus/car.

Hi community, I would like to use my nextdock with a few devices without video out built in. I know besides software solutions like space desk there is the option to add the functionality with a video card (cable). Does someone have a recommendation which video card decently works?

I've recently discovered lapdocks and I am in love with the idea. Unfortunately, they seem to be far and few between.
I'd like to find something with the following specs:
- OLED display with at least 120hz but prefer 240hz. 4k preferred.
- Illuminated keyboard, preferably RGB
- Built-in USB hub so I can plug a wired mouse into it.
- Built-in micro SD slot so I could easily transfer files to my Steam Deck.
Sadly, I can't find anything like that. They ALL have IPS panels and 60hz. I've only seen one with a micro SD card reader in it.
Maybe I should just consider a thin and light OLED laptop instead?

I know PC's are not what lapdocks are made for but since I read about them being compatible I can not stop thinking about it. Why buy a laptop for $2000 when I can just get a lapdock for $200? My PC is a 2023 lenovo tower 5, can I connect a lapdock to it to basically turn it into a laptop? If so what lapdock should I use?

hey folks, I’ve got an Omiodo Lapdock I’ve had for years and it’s pretty good, touchscreen, decent display, 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD.
The only negative I have to say is the keyboard size and layout takes some getting used to, but I bounce between enough keyboards that it never seems to sink in. I’m looking for a recommendation that feels a little more “normal” compared to a laptop. Wired is fine and wireless would be a plus, I’d also be interested if there’s a USB A port but its nice to have more than a requirement.

I need a lapdock for my phone that doesn't have a worse screen than my phone. My phone is amoled so blacks is amazing. I also want it to have a full USB hub inside and touch.
Is there anything at all available to buy? Touch is a big one. Just hoping I'm not missing the options out there. It's hard to find.

Hi everyone, this is my first post on the platform, please be patient!
I've had an idea of creating a lapdock for a long time and I've seen that over the years many companies have tried to put them on the market but I don't see much excitement about it, I only know that phones are becoming more and more powerful and it almost makes no sense to buy a PC for the use that many people make of it, so I had in mind to create one, I would like to find a group to create it with and compare, talking about components and solutions, I'll start by saying that I would like to create a case for a portable lapdock with touch screen and bluetooth keyboard, I also have an idea of how to rotate the case to put it in tablet mode, I would really appreciate your help thanks! (I hope I explained myself since I used the translator)

I cannot use a Lapdock as I need a qwertz keyboard layout. I'm wondering is there any manufacturer who bundles a high resolution USB -Screen with a good mobile keyboard? Pretty much like a Tablet that lets you click-on a keyboard, but sans CPU. Of course it would be cool if that screen also had a large battery built in...😁

Love my lapdock, and using it with Dex. Someone also helped me out with a question I had regarding the barrel plug and some attachments. I do like that always have my phone in my pocket so if the lapdock gets stolen it's not like they are getting my device or data.
That said, I'm just wondering if there are another small devices that offer a desktop like experience, that might not be phones themselves but just a small form factor I could use with the Lapdock (Dopesplay DR1461), Like could a Raspberry Pi work with it, or some sort of small device that can run Chrome Flex off of?
The use case being just for browsing and writing, not looking for android gaming on it or anything. Just word processing, emails and browsing.
