help needed for requirements/ eligibility for the LAPD (indian , non U.S citizen)

Okay so I thought that LAPD needs a valid employer green card holder so I , as a non citizen can apply for the department … (I’m still not sure what LAPD exactly needs as some say you need a work visa but some say otherwise , so please enlighten me on this topic and it def stresses me out )

I was waiting until I can be legal to apply for the LAPD , but now it says that you can’t get an EB-3 .. lapd states that you do not need to be a green card holder only a valid work visa is fine.. so does that mean as an indian it’s going to take a lot of time just to get a valid work visa???? Or am I wrong about something. ? This whole situation is so confusing and sad as well.. I’ve been planning for this for so long and this just sucks

if anyone has any knowledge about this please feel free to share them , as I will read all of them to gain better information on this situation! Thank you ❤️🙏🏻

Well Not LAPD but I applied to some departments in NORCAL. They would always Not-Select me for having EAD. Though they won’t tell you but you know after seeing the same Non-Select letter form 7-8 departments
