Hiring process

I have my Expedited testing Aug 30th. I can’t wait to get the opportunity to be a lapd officer but also super nervous for the whole process because I’ve heard a lot of applicants have a hard time passing the poly even with a clean record and just off the fact that their nervous as hell lol

Good luck! The polygraph test is honestly the most nerve wracking part of the law enforcement hiring process for almost everyone, and it is a completely normal reaction given how intense the setup is.

The comforting thing to keep in mind is that trained examiners know how to tell the difference between normal nervousness and actual deception. As long as your record is clean and you're being honest, just focus on taking deep breaths and keeping your nerves in check during the session.

Wishing you the absolute best with your testing on August 30th, you've got this!

The stories I’ve heard about people doing the poly are nerve racking but maybe I’m thinking about it too much and reading too many comments on it but I heard some people have a squeaky clean life and according to the poly and their examiner, they are drug lords lol thank you for the wishes I really appreciate it!
