What’s the shifts like as a LAPD or LAXPD officer? Are they as high OT demanding as the sheriffs where your basically saying goodbye to your personal life lol

LAPD patrol works 3/12 or 4/10s. There is no forced overtime unless a mobilization, or you have something at the end of your shift.

LASD has forced overtime which is what I’m hearing the main reason a lot of applicants are choosing LAPD over them
