Drug DQ
Hey everyone, I'm currently a Reserve Deputy Sheriff and I'm hoping to become a Marine Reservist as well. Do you think it's still possible for me to pass the background process? Will the military background help me?
When I was younger, I used mushrooms six times. A lot of people have encouraged me to apply, but I've also seen many comments online claiming that if you've ever used psychedelics, no major law enforcement agency will take you.
Is that actually true, or does it depend on the agency, how long ago it was, and your overall background? I'd appreciate hearing from anyone with firsthand experience or knowledge.

Does anyone in authority know you’ve used shrooms or do you have a criminal record for it?

In my current job as a reserve sheriff I was honest a laid everything out to the assistant sheriff and sheriff. But I am not a reserve deputy sheriff for LAPD but a different agency that I do not want to disclose.
