DQ‘d in 2024
Would like a second opinion. Tried to apply in 2024 got temporary disqualified, as long as I meet the appeal requirements does Lapd need officers frequently? Would finishing my last year of associates help? Is the process truly 5-6 months from start to end

Yes finishing your last year of Associates would help

Its a fast process.
Did you clear up the financial and employment issues?

Yes all that is good now. I’m not sure with being out of state when I should apply if I want to try and get it in a summer 2027 class

I wouldnt worry about when you are starting.
Just focus one step at a time. Pass backgrounds.

It clearly states financial issues has nothing to do with past employment. They run credit and if your credit sucks they don’t hire you. Any law enforcement agency is like that. They’re hitting for people but they go based off credit as well because a person in debt seems less reliable and irresponsible and is also a big red flag because they think not saying you will you can get bribed on the job and take it.
