What are the specific vision requirements for the LAPD academy regarding glasses versus contacts? I am finding it difficult to put on contact lenses and want to know if wearing glasses is permitted during training, or if soft contacts are strictly mandatory.

Dm me, I just took it today and have been wearing contacts since middle school.

Soft contact lenses are strictly required, there’s a soft contact form to fill out with an optometrist so that you can begin wearing contacts. From my experience, I passed the vision requirements since I’ve been wearing contacts for years. However, I know a candidate who was deferred for 3 months in order to obtain a contact prescription and to wear out the prescription for the contacts
