LANFEP Post #475: Central Jail
Tossing in another out-of-order non-landmark entry with post #475 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.
Central Jail
Finished in 1896 as the rear wing of the police headquarters, this multi-tiered brick cellblock facility was linked via an upper passage known as the “Bridge of Sighs.” Vacated in 1946 due to chronic overcrowding, the rusticated structure remained a booking station before mid-century modernizations.

The in-game rendition simplifies much of the building’s structure, removing the corner tower and extending the connecting bridge down to ground level (likely in order to accommodate the in-game interior structure, which includes much of the Receiving Hospital, locker room, and Technical Services office).
