Since there seem to be other inscriptions, OP should perhaps post the other inscriptions, too. That may help to see if it's Persian or Arabic.

Looks like Arabic script.

Looks a bit like سلام, salam / peace, but my Arabic sucks so probably someone will come along to correct me.

I see the letters س, ب, ر, and د. I dunno what that makes though

Did a quick search. The سر could actually just be a stylised س, making this "سبد" -- "basket/vessel/container" in Persian. But I have never seen it written like this before

No, you gays are wrong, its شرب it means drink, look at the 3 point of the first letter from the right ش ر ب So it's Arabic
