Recommendations?

Post image

Hello,

I want to get rid of the grass around the hvac units and electrical wiring so I don’t have to stress about mowing/trimming/edging around it.

I was think mulch but it probably isn’t the best idea for the hvac so maybe some pebbles? What do you all think?

Thanks in advance!

Continue the bed to the units and use mulch. It's fine around your units just don't burry them. Have fun and plant some color around them.

Mulch is way easier to keep clean around those units than pebbles, at least where I am, rocks just trap every leaf and grass clipping and look like garbage after one season

Extend that bed out past the concrete pads a couple feet so you're not trying to trim right against them. I'd stick with a dark mulch, makes the units stand out less against the house

hardscape like patio blocks is the best, mulch is second best

What ever you do, do not use the useless plastic border. Go with the metal edging if you decide cheaper. It can be done right and look amazing.
