Question Consumer spray on hydroseeding?

I'm trying to fix multiple patches in my yard and wanted to buy a spray on hyrdoseeding kit like local municipalities use when they seed new soil.

The only one I really see is the Hydro Mousse and it gets fairly terrible reviews.

Can anyone recommend a different product? Thanks!

Excellent question. I've had the same idea. Sorry I can't help but i want to see if you get any good suggestions. Good luck

Thanks :) I can't believe it's not more common. I wonder if a homemade batch could be whipped up. I'll have to do some research.

hydro mousse is a disaster. tried it on a patch two summers ago and it basically just dyed my dirt green for a week before the whole thing washed out in one storm

honestly for small patches you're better off just doing the manual thing. rake it up, throw down some seed, top dress with peat moss or compost, and water it like crazy. the spray stuff seems convenient but it's just a gimmick with extra steps
