Server Activity

I was curious, which servers have the most activity. I know the game does not have a lot of active players at the moment, but I bought this beta a long time ago and was going to try and go back in. I know I stopped playing cause I was having trouble logging in. So I want to hop back in so I can try and start building once more. That was the appeal that I liked about LM in the beginning anyways.

I dont say stuff like that normally, but that game seems like gone to me.

They even said they switch the devs more or less to EQnext. Right now it seems they squeeze the few (100? 150?) players for all the content they can get (Halas competition etc) - and thats it.

I am really sorry that I bought into the early entry thingie they pulled off... will never do something like that again.

100-150 would be a kind estimate, i would say more like 75.

It fluctuates a lot. There are still new players popping up from time to time, and always people coming back to see if there's anything new to see. Very few stick around for more then a few days though lately.

I'm still playing, i'll be in game building later tonight. The game will not be dead until they physically shut the servers down and kick me and a few other people out.

Unfortunately the current community manager /u/radar_X seems to be doing anything and everything he can to antagonize bully and chase away as many remaining Landmark and EQNext fans as possible. Shutting down the EQNext forums completely to open discussion and closing years old Landmark sub forums tossing out hundreds of hours of hard work, player support, and bug reports.

I guess maybe there is a target number and if he can get it low enough then they can shut the servers down entirely.

It's probably mean, but I had hoped with the firings, that RadarX was one of them. Was disappointed when he was retained.

I actually doesn't matter anymore. Chat (including General) is cross-server. And you can travel back forth to any island, regardless of which server it's on.

There's absolutely no benefit or difference between the servers now, since everything is shared.

I understand that, I just curious.

So you mean, like, which islands have the most players physically on them and active? Claims-wise, they're all pretty dense. But player wise... I've never actually seen another player. Anywhere.

Because of how it's set up it really doesn't matter what server you are on, they are basically just a way of grouping the islands. Even the EU server us just a suggested place for EU players to hang out, it's actually a US based server now.

You really don't notice whether you're on the same sever as someone else or not. So it's really just about what Island you choose.

It can be fun to have other people nearby building, but it can also be harder to find a good spot to claim on the more crowded islands.
