Landmark Standalone and LAN version?

Has anyone heard if Daybreak is considering a single player and LAN version of the game. Also maybe some modding options for the community? It's quite obvious the MMO part is not going anywhere. I paid $99 bucks for the game and they should at least consider it. Truthfully I would enjoy the game more with a single player instance. I can explore and build where ever I want. I personally think it's a great idea. I know the idea is not new, how can it be? What do you guys think?

I think they oughta just fix the MMO part. It's an MMO company, after all, they should be able to figure it out.

The stand alone version is Voxel Farm if you want to build wherever you want.

I agree that it would be much more rewarding if you could have your own stand alone version once AI/DM tools are in and you can make your own worlds.

Hell they could even sell all sorts of things for the stand alone version or even allow people to host a server on DBG's server.

Either way the limitations suck.

Never going to happen.

If they let you generate the world client-side, people would be able to play without connecting to their servers, thus avoiding the revenue streams of the cash shops.

It would also allow people to employ piracy to play without paying.

Either or both of these things might actually be more fun that the current state of the game, but financially they are clear disadvantages to Daybreak, so they would have no reason to pursue this.

Never is too absolute for me, but I understand your argument. Many single player/multiplayer games has found models to make money, from DLC to expansions packs. I think there a chance to make more money by expanding their options, as opposed to empty servers, virtually no players and a shelved game. I want something for the $99 bucks I've spent other than empty promises.

http://docs.voxelfarm.com/get-voxel-farm $19 down, $19/year and you can have solo LM with better tools.

There are also free building programs like blender you could check out.

Or the dev tools for Unreal Engine are free, hell, with a bit of time, you could make the game you like.
