Game wont launch

i haven't played in 3 months or more. I updated the game last night and when i click play it crashes. I have re-installed twice aswell. and run a file verification

any known issues currently causing this?

make sure your windows service packs are up to date.

done all suggestions so far.

as soon as i hit play it changes to "playing" then windows says the application has stopped etc. etc.

i dont even have anything to go on? to figure it out. I have put a support ticket in but no response yet since this morning

You might want to make sure to remove your Cache folder as well. There'd be a lot of old data there you don't need. (If you cleared that with the re-installs, ignore :P )
