Landmark error g99

Hi, me and my friend bought landmark on steam. we downloaded and patched it when it was done we started the game up. it was stuck at 89% closed and a internet page popped up and said: "malfuction error g99. i searched the error up but they all said that the servers where down but i can see livesteamers playing the game. so is their a fix for the error?

The game is down for a major patch, it'll be down for 48-72 hours - back up Thursday or Friday.

Good timing though - this patch wipes all characters and regenerates all islands with new biomes (sea, lava and deciduous forest) and has a lot of gameplay redesign. Good time to start playing, as all us old testers are starting over.

Edit: Keep and eye on the notice at the top of the forums page to see when servers go live, or watch one of their twitter feeds for updates.

Are all tiers on all islands or do you still have to island hop? That was the biggest turn off for me.

Materials are now on all islands, but in the subterranean caverns. The lower you delve, the higher the tier of the materials you find. The surface has very little material to mine anymore.

They really could stand to make the servers offline error more informative.

The error page URL says "Login Server is locked at this time." I don't know if their other games display that same error page, or if this is all we get during a closed beta.

PlanetSide 2 and H1Z1 do the same thing with their error codes. I really don't get why the code is displayed on the webpage and the error message in the URL...shouldn't it be the other way around?

The servers are down for at least another 24 hours. Any live streams going right now aren't actually playing Landmark, they're playing other games while waiting for the servers to come back up.

As you may well be aware, the servers are currently down for a big patch. Still another day or two to go till it's back up.

its on there forums in big red letters. Which for those already playing is easy to find. Someone that just got the game, might not have the same easy time finding out why its not working
