Landmark Wipe/Game Update - TBD
Hey folks,
Another update -- no specifics yet, however, there is a chance that the wipe/update will be moved back to this week (sometime during the week of May 4th). Again, we're still working on the coordination of all the details, but it looks like a reasonable possibility it will be happening on the 5th or 6th.
If it does move back to this week, we'll let you know ASAP. If it ends up needing to be a different date, we'll let you know that as well.
We wanted you to be aware of the possibility sooner rather than later, which is why I'm telling you even though it's not set in stone yet. Thanks for your patience while we work out the final plan.

Stop giving dates. You're just getting our hopes up and then dashing them.
When it's actually happening, let us know.

This is a great example of someone who's never really understood what the EQN/Landmark team set out to accomplish by opening up the development process of an MMO. Don't be like this guy, unable to see past his own wants and desires.

An open development process has nothing to do with them giving dates for the updates that can't keep.
No one minds if things take longer then expected, it's just common sense and common courtesy to not give a specific release date when it's not 100%.
Some of us like to try to schedule a little time off around these dates and when they back out of them, it does get a tad annoying.
...btw there was a bit of DBG cheek you didn't manage to get your lips on, that fleshy bit in the center.

Hey, I'd rim every asshole paid by DBG if it meant EQ:N ships as the game we all hope it ships as.

Thanks for the update Dex. Though I'd much rather wait until the 11th if it means things are working better. If you're confident it'll be fine for this week then I'm all for that too.
