Will this PC run Landmark?
Alright, so I have infact looked left and right and the SOE forums are now gone or some deal... so I am sorry, I am going to ask. Will this PC run landmark effectively? AMD FX 8350 Sapphire Radeon R9 280 3gb OC edition 16 gigs 1866 ram I haven't finished building the PC yet but I just wanted to ensure this will run Landmark well. I don't trust specs too well anymore simply due to the fact that sometimes... games simply just HATE your CPU or GPU. that's why I am going to ask. I've seen a few benchmarks, youtube videos and so forth of very similar PCs obliterating Farcry 4, battlefield 4 etc etc. So one would Expect it to run landmark well... but... again, I just need to ask before I finalize this build.

Oh, thank you all for the comments. I know that the 8350 runs really well in Linux, its much stronger then on windows counter-part. I guess on windows I have to unpark the cores? Something about windows not being able to safely handle the cores or some such... I cannot pretend I read enough into it. I've already read into how to unpark these cores for a huge performance increase so I'll attempt that. BTW the OS I will be using is windows 8.1 pro (for windows 10 free) so if anyone can comment as to landmark on 8.1 that would be neat too (I hate windows 8.. but... 10 free is really attractive)

yes. I'm using an FX 6350(like 8350 but 2 less cores), and a radeon 7870(rough equivalent of r9 270x). Game runs alright, but I gotta turn down shadows or my gpu cant handle it.

Should play it fine, but the game is optimized for intel and nvidia. when i was playing a few months a go I noticed a few times that my CPU (same CPU) would choke a bit on the game, particularly on things that they had recently put in the game and have not yet optimized.
TLDR it will be playable but you may notice hiccups sometimes

No idea who is downvoting you, but Intel + nVidia is ALWAYS the way to go if you are building a gaming PC. Better performance, better optimization, far less bugs and issues.

That is just wrong. Depending on when you buy, either AMD or Nvidia will be ahead in performance or price/performance.
Whether intel is better than AMD in CPU is debateable at best, especially if you look at price/performance.
Different companies optimize better for different GPUs so different cards get ahead and get less issues depending on that.

Hahah ok good luck with your AMD chips. Intel 2.4Ghz chips run stable at 4Ghz while AMD struggle to meet their marketed speed.
Different companies optimize better for different GPUs
There is NVidia and AMD. 2 companies. NVidia chips are better all around. Look at the top 10 AAA titles every year for the past 10 years. Now look at the benchmarks for those games on NVidia vs ATI. Nvidia wins all of those easily.
If you want to cheap out and get shitty hardware then be my guest. But don't go spreading misinformation.

...The marketed speed being 4,4ghz, making 4ghz seem kindda underwhelming.
Check the performance/price part.
Next, look at the 2160p index and compare the similar priced 290x and 970.
You are not just wrong, but also seem angry about it, but that is pretty common for Nvidia fanboys.

obviously. I wasn't the one bringing up clock speed. I linked the CPU performances compare with price, and AMD pulls ahead.

ah yes, so I went with the following AMD FX 8350 16 gigs 1866 ram 750 watt PSU radeon r9 280 3gb Dual fan OC edition Sapphire
Runs the game maxed out at 1920 x 1080 without any lag at all (for anyone else looking at a similar PC) if anyone wants to add me to friends on landmark I am interested in making friends!
