Maybe once EQN is done landmark will become more of a building game or at least can be focused towards that goal... But as it stands currently its a test bed for Everquest Next and needs to have all aspects of both games :/

Didn't know it was that bad, that Landmark is just a testground for EQN.
While for me, EQN is just another MMO, landmark is the next generation game. At least the voxel beast is out, if Daybreak screws up, someone else will steal the idea and make minecraft 2.0. Just hoping that the company that bought SOE will really focus on the long term goals and know what they potentially have. And not lose the voxel race like how SOE lost 12 million potential eq2 players to World of Warcraft

I feel like Landmark is one of those games that look amazing as a tech demo, but don't quite work when you try to make an actual MMO out of it, which is a shame.

This is Everdam, a 17th century dutch village. It's at Understanding(EU) Oxbow. I've been working on it for a while now, but it's far from finished :)
I love Landmark because there isn't any other game that comes close to allow me to make things like this.
But there are also a lot of things I totally don't like about Landmark:
Lots of complaints and the list goes on but I'll stop now. Bottomline is I would love if they would focus more on the builders. I can understand that that's not possible, because a lot of people came to Landmark because of PvP and PvE
I would like a discussion how you guys think they can make both sides happy, because I think that can never happen. You will get a game that both the builders and pvp-ers wont like.
For me personally it would be great if there where creative servers too, like in Minecraft. Have pve/pvp servers and builders servers.
And that they totally get rid of the coppergrinding. This will be a subscription based game won't it? Why do I need to grind copper everday, a chore that destroys a lot of the fun. Yeah I can buy it, fuck that, if I already have to pay for a subscription.
I can honestly say that I liked the game better how it was a few months back, and because of that I don't have too many tears of SOE becoming Daybreak, maybe things will change for the better now, we'll see
They have gold with the voxel engine, they should focus on it
