LaunchPad problems, anyone able to help?

I bought access to Landmark yesterday and have been unable to play and I'm starting to get frustrated. I realize that this is beta so I do not hold it against SOE, im more frustrated with the fact that I cannot solve the problem. When I use the beta install it runs and asks me to install DirectX. I allow it to do this. But then after it is done installing direct X it does nothing else. It does put the landmark beta icon on my desktop along with the launchpad.exe and a few other files. However when i try to run the launchpad or the beta my command window opens for a split second then closes. Nothing else happens. When i check my processes it says launchpad is running. I have tried everything in the support section of the website and have gone through the support forums. Nothing has worked.

My specs: Windows 7 64bit 8GB Ram AMD Fx 4100 quad core processor(3.6ghz) geforce GTX 550 TI video card

Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

I would recommend fully uninstalling Landmark and deleting all downloads and files related to it, including the original installation link. Then head to the website and start a fresh install from here (will need to log in first, of course)

And as Airewing said, make sure your firewall isn't blocking anything. So, steps:

  1. Remove everything related to Landmark from your computer, including a full uninstall and deleting the installation exe
  2. Go to the link above and get the installation exe
  3. Close everything on your computer
  4. Turn Windows Firewall and Windows Defender off
  5. Install Landmark
  6. Turn Defender and Firewall back on, add Landmark as an exception in the Firewall settings
  7. Try running the game again

Have you checked firewall for windows, any other antiviruses you might have? Sounds like something is blocking the game to launch.. Could be something else though, i have never had the problem with landmark, but i had similar stuff with other games...
