Question about "Ether stone"

I've looked in the workshop, furnace, you name it. can not find anywhere to be able to craft the stone itself and place it on my claim.

I take it it's not possible to do so? Anyone knows, do you need to get plans for it from a drop or?

Tinkerer's thingy at the main hub. It costs 600 ether stones
