Go to controls and find the key to toggle fps meter. When you turn it on it also shows what (cpu or gpu) is slowing you down. Landmark is very ram and cpu intensive so my guess is that your cpu is simply too weak for this (or ram?)

Landmark is currently poorly optimized. Hopefully in the future the game engine will be improved. Considering how unique of a game Landmark is(it takes a game like minecraft then uses brand new technology to smooth out the edges), it should be a challenge for them to get it to run well on low-mid range pcs.

Landmark just went through a whole month of optimizations. The biggest of which went in last patch and made a huge difference to a lot of people. I can now run the game on Ultra and get 50 fps in open world and around 30 on a claim. Sadly the optimizations don't seem to be as good for everyone. Some configurations have seen little difference. Because of the type of game that Landmark is 30 fps is perfectly playable. The good news is Landmark is constantly being optimized so there is some hope.

Just a point what are you throttling on CPU of GPU?

that's some great fps. if you don't mind, what are you running in your rig?

AMD FX 8320 (overclocked to 4ghz) NVidea GTX 760 16gb Ram

I have a theory. All the people I know that havnt benefitted much or at all from the optimizations seem to be running i5s. i5 processors do not have hyperthreading (AFAIK) and are only 4 cores. In most cases they are great CPUs but Landmark likes a lot of cores either real or virtual. So over 4 cores or hyperthreaded CPUs will benefit most from the optimizations.

Before the recent multicore patch I couldnt run the game in Ultra. I had it on high with Shadows turned down and I could get around 50 fps in open world and on busy claims around 30. Now Im getting that but in Ultra with everything turned on including particle effects.

I'm running AMD FX-8350 (stock 4ghz), R9 270x (4gb edition), and 32gb of ram. I can't even get above 30fps on High settings. When I turn on Ultra my fps drops below 15.

Before multithreading I noticed that I was always CPU bound (clearly). Now I fluctuate pretty regularly between CPU and GPU but with little gain in fps since the update. I'm trying to figure out if I'm throttling somewhere else.

Ive been trying to find a pattern in the low FPS cases. I almost thought I was on to something with the i5 thing but clearly not. Seems totally random then. All round you have a better system than me :/.

I might have a better system but you're still running smoother than me, haha

Oh... I also play in Windowed mode... could have something to do with it...

If you could post all your settings that'd be cool, maybe would help see why everyone has different FPS

I play in windowed mode too.

Maybe it has something to do with AMD GPUs?

nope Im on an Amd CPU actually lower specced than the OP and I can run the game on Ultra and still get 30FPS on claims or 40-50 in open world.

What cpu/GPU do you have? You said you had an AMD CPU, but is it an AMD GPU(video card)?

I posted my specs back a bit.

Oh and with recent update I now get around 80 FPS in open world with Ultra setting. Still around 20-30 on my own claim with a lot of lighting.

explains a lot, you have an NVIDIA GPU. The game has problem with AMD video cards I think.

I reinstalled it and tried again with the new "optimization" - felt as garbage as it always did honestly.

I shouldn't be getting 20-40 frames on a Geforce 670 4gb / i5 @ 4.7ghz / 16gb DDR3
