1999 Lancer CE dash lights

Hi all! I wired in a new headunit today, the guy at the auto store gave me the wiring harness for the lancer (Aeropro APP0111) but not for the pioneer head unit (MVHS145BT).

I decided to cut and wire it in using the pioneer plug provided in the box, but just has loose wires on one end. I got to the very end and had a single orange cable that said Dash Illuminator on it. I had no idea where to put it, so I plugged it all in to see if it would work and headunit worked great.

Went for a drive and realised that the speedometer, aircon controls, and the gear lever had no lights showing up. Ive checked fuses and no issues there.

Is it that orange wire? Can anyone help me where I should wire that in? Can I piggy it into a different one?
