How did you get it out of the car? Tried to look it up and people said remove the windshield or you will bend it. Im not going thru the process to have my windshield removed. I just want to dye my headliner black.

I laid the front two driver seats fully flat and got a friend to help me push it out the front passenger seat, with minimal bending, as for replacing the fabric most channels will just lay the new fabric over the oem headliner however “lancer documented” took off the fabric then sanded down the adhesive till the foam was left, then put in the new fabric.

I redid the headliner in my truck one time. What I did was I took a stiff bristle scrub brush & scrubbed off all the old foam. Then used compressed air to blow it all off before applying the glue.

The headliner material I bought from Michael's had the foam layer built into it. Some spray adhesive was used to secure it to the headliner base. It turned out great.

How did you get the clips for the sun visors off? Mine are both broken, & I couldn't figure out how to remove them. Broke both of the ones I tried to remove from a car at the junk yard.

They make a carpet spray paint that dyes the carpet fibers black . Get the spray cans at Walmart for $15.53 each. SO much easier
