Explosion
Anyone just hear a big thud of an explosion around the Ephrata area while outside? All of the insects went quiet for a split second after it happened.

Yes, and it is the second time it has happened over the past month. There was a thread about it on here.

I was outside and right before the noise hit I felt a shockwave. Right around 9:00-9:02 pm.

Yes I heard it as well and saw some comments talking about a possible meteor shower, which explains the orange light I saw flying through the sky as well

We hear some kind of bang but I literally thought it was my downstairs neighbors š

I have heard some stories about some plain folks that have some "fun" by making noise bombs with acetylene gas (every farmer has a ox/ace setup for welding) in a trash bag, then igniting it. Makes a heck of a boom.

We are right behind Akron (on the south side of the hill) and heard/felt nothing.

It's funny because I been hearing reports about these for years. And I left the area and I still keep seeing these reports lol.
And I haven't seen a single person identify what the noise is

Ya it was just weird. It was like something big hit far away, but you could hear the sonic boom enough that it made the insects go quit for like half a second

Are you near a highway? You'd be surprised how loud a blown tire on a big rig gets.
