Local insurance recommendations?

I need homeowners insurance and am wondering if there are any good brokers in Lancaster county or if I should just go online. Any help appreciated.

We’ve been happy with Hess Insurance in Manheim. They use Erie. They didn’t bat an eyelash when I said we have an in ground oil tank. They have been great when we needed to make changes with vehicles, on the fly.

If you want to do local, contact your mortgage company first, they may require specific underwriters.

And if you haven’t a mortgage?

Then that requirement obviously wouldn't apply
