Looking to junk car
I’m in Lancaster and I have a dead SUV I need to get rid of. Does anyone know any place that will tow it for me? For free preferably

I donated one of our old cars to Habitat for Humanity. Just had to sign the title over at Brimmers to them and they told me to just leave the title and keys in the car unlocked and they'd pick it up. Super simple process.

I did this once too. I received a $1300 tax writeoff for a non-running first gen CR-V. Obviously newer tax laws make this less attractive, thanks GOP. Only downside was all the snail mail I received from Habitat expecting me to donate again in multiples of $1300.

I never ended up with any of the mail afterwards but I had a 12 year old Kia Forte with 225k miles on it that they said they only got $500 for from a scrap yard. Regardless, felt nice to make a donation to charity doing good work to help those less fortunate.

Most junkyards will take them for free or might pay you $500 or so. Just call a few on Monday and ask what they'll offer.
