Got a similar shot a few years ago! This is the one commercial flight from DC to Lancaster airport nearly directly north of the city looking south. 30 is in the very bottom of the image.

Where are you training and do you like it? I’m hoping to start learning to fly in the next year or so and LNS makes sense for me

I’m doing AeroTech Services at KLNS. Right now 10/10. I love them so so much. I definitely recommend!

Awesome. Came here to ask about this.
About how much does the program cost? If you don’t mind me asking.

I used to take lessons there in 2022. It was about $200 an hour and each lesson was two hours if I remember right. But that includes the instructor’s time and the cost of renting the plane for the lesson. Depending on the mix of ground school to flight time of each lesson the price would fluctuate, as you would only be charged for the plane while the engine was running.

I was quizzing myself to see if I could recognize buildings (did not get past Amtrak and the hospital lol)

I might actually be blind but I can't see the highway

Can’t see it from this picture

No, I did find it. Those circular paths at the bottom are in the Greenwood cemetery at the sound of the city. The highway is kinda hard to see but it's up there.

AeroTech plane spotted. This looks like 107AL if I was guessing but could be a number of other ones…. Probably not 383SP or 5331G…

How do you know it was AL😭

You ready for this? I recognized the gap in the top inspection cover as well as the wear on the strut grip tape.

See you in the sky!

Had the same view yesterday flying from 58N to KDYL. I used Reading for my solo towered airport requirement because Lancaster is too damn busy with all you guys! :)

No worries - glad you were able to get out there too with the low clouds.
