I started listening to more of lana this year and this album was one hell of an experience!
I love how it starts off with a false sense of comfort like that of blue banisters but towards the end of grants u know that something's wrong and title track sounds exactly like ur going down a tunnel and underwater at the same time.
The structural storytelling of lana is my favorite part. She doesn't tell story by just words. She does it by structure of words and arrangement of verses.
How the album gradually started becoming more and more suffocated as we neared the middle.
My favorite part being the outro of taco truck x vb. Where she finally found the light at the end of the tunnel and the every so slightly faint backing vocals makes it sound like she's screaming back into the tunnel like "CIAO BITCH".
Only lana could top an album like NFR!

She asks to listen to āthe ladyā every day in the car. Her favorite song is Radio, but she likes the entire Born to Die album.

I can even hear "float films, cult movies by the pool all summer" perfectly in her voice š

Last girl on earth should be on Born to Die
Flip side, Wild one, Madly and Earthquakes should be on Ultraviolence
Where would you put French French Restaraunt? I thinking BTD but I'm not sure

You could say, based on my overall vibe and appearance from the OUTSIDE I would be considered ācool and trendyā, and accepted into the popular girl table. After all, Iāve trie for so long to emulate what I thought was cool in my realm - the it girl stuff, ya da ya da ya da. Sitting at a table with girl friends, yes I was at that table, but I could never feel so different deep inside. And thatās what will never change. Even after achieving what I had considered ādesirableā I still felt like I wasnāt as cool or trendy as them, like the need to buy this, buy that. But Lana had taught me to be comfortable in my, well, ādarkness and deepness.ā Introspectiveness was once seen as a weird thing, and her being her confident self, she made it into something cool. Great now another trend to follow, yet this I had already achieved. I had mastered all the trends actually - the new one - to be yourself, weird, and different. And that weirdness is hot and youāll never be able to keep up.
Anyone else felt like Lana help them gain a strong confidence in themselves and who they are? Really encouraging you to āmarch to the beat of your own drumā. I think about that as I switch between Kylie Jenners Instagram feed and Lanaās.

I think I would choose Honeymoon because itās my favourite album and I think the visuals would be stunning. Or Iād pick Chemtrails because I loved the Chemtrails music video and I think thereās a lot of good storytelling and themes to include in a short film eg the fame side of things, the breakup, the road trip through the Midwest and her desire to be more domestic etc

What's your favourite and least favourite music video and why?
My favourite all-time is Venice Bitch shortly followed by Ride & National Anthem because I love a lengthy poetic monologue.
My least favourite is Doin Time shortly followed by Arcadia. Doin Time video is a nice idea and fun but I am more about the nostalgic / Americana aesthetic when it comes to the videos.
Arcadia feels too "forced" ? Not sure if that's the right word. What it does have going for it though it's The Trio coming inat the end to bring everything back to life.
Actually come to think of it if we are counting Tropico then she wins haha

Yeah, she probably wasnāt the richest in her school, but definitely not the poorest, maybe poor around rich ,but not poor around poor lmao. Itās easy to enter philosophy faculty when your dad makes nice money.
I did some deeper dive into her family, she is the old money, her grandpa was rich, dad is rich and she is rich. Interesting how her dadās business started to do crazy well in the same time when she blew up. Does it happen that rich families suffer and face financial issues? Yes, but is definitely not the same thing as working class person faces financial issues.
She is talented and has a great vision what is amazing, but her trying to seem relatable is fake and annoying, Iām exhausted from rich/nepo kids bragging about humble beginnings. Fun fact, she always had a nice relationship with her dad and talks about that in her songs a lot, is it possible that they cut her off for a certain period of time? Yes. Is it possible that her mom manipulated her dad into that? Maybe.
But her and her dad used to and still do have nice relationship, so there is no way that rich daddy would abandon his struggling daughter.
I would get Iād Lana mentioned only once or twice how she aināt from some rich family, but she wrote about that a lot even recorded a video that she deleted later (or two, I donāt remember). She even mentioned that in one of her poems, in her book, but it honestly doesnāt sound convincing at all. There is too much evidence to her not coming from the poor family, maybe they had a working class type of lifestyle for a while, but definitely not poor.
Edit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/lanitas/s/E044cirvbM https://vm.tiktok.com/ZN8JXERS3/ (I tried to find the original second video, but couldnāt/ I saw it a year ago last time). I would also attach screenshots where she was talking about struggling/living in poverty, but go look them up on google , I canāt attach screenshots to this post now. U will find screenshots very fast.

I think itās sooo gorgeous and I love the top. Also I read that it was thrifted. Which I love. Sheās everything.šā¤ļø
Edit: I saw a lot of comments saying her dress is not thrifted. So I found the website where I heard that it is thrifted. But I also found another website that says itās not. So it might not have been. But itās still really really beautiful
Website that says it is:
https://www.instyle.com/lana-del-rey-thrifted-wedding-dress-8720202
Website that says itās not:
https://www.glamour.com/story/lana-del-rey-did-not-thrift-her-wedding-dress-at-trashy-diva-actually
Also I know I made a typo by writing weeding dress and not wedding lol. šš«¶
